September 18, 20169 yr Hi all, As previously discussed, I'm heading to Penang for an SETV shortly. Website of the Thai consulate in Penang makes no mention of requiring proof of accommodation / onward flights, but I'm not convinced it's updated regularly. Some reports here seem to indicate they are required, others not. Does anyone have any recent information or advice on whether I'll need to prove accommodation / onward flights? For reference, when applying in Penang I'll have a single SETV and extension from February, and a single visa exemption entry and extension from August in my passport. Planning to use an agent. All advice very gratefully received!
September 18, 20169 yr Penang does not ask for tickets or proof of accommodation. You will have no problem getting the visa.
September 18, 20169 yr You will not need tickets or proof of accommodation. These are only sometimes needed for people who have several previous SETVs from Penang.
