Tourism Minister: Thailand ready to host World Tourism Day

  

BANGKOK, 19 September 2016 (NNT) – Thailand is now prepared to host the World Tourism Day event, echoing the nation’s support towards equal access to tourism, while the cultural richness of Thailand’s northeastern region will be presented to the participants at the event, says the Tourism Minister.

Police on high alert at special areas after New York blast

BANGKOK, 19 September 2016 (NNT) – The Royal Thai Police is providing extra security protection at important locations and embassies in the wake of the bombing incident in the United States, says spokesman. Officials have confirmed that no Thai nationals were connected or affected from the incident.

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities questioned several people early Monday after car stop in Brooklyn as they worked to determine if there is a connection between an explosion that rocked a bustling New York City neighborhood, an unexploded pressure-cooker device found blocks away, an earlier pipe bomb blast at a New Jersey shore town or explosive devices found across the state near a train station.

NAKHON RATCHASIMA — A teacher who admitted to throwing angrily throwing a coffee mug which disfigured a student’s face will receive no higher penalty than a reduced salary, an education official said Monday.

NEW YORK: -- As the investigation and media attention goes on around them, New Yorkers who have endured the Sept. 11 attacks and the devastating super-storm of 2012, appeared to be generally unperturbed by the blast in Manhattan. Twenty-nine people were injured in the blast on Saturday night but all victims have now been released from hospital.

Motorcycle accidents kill an average of 15 Thai youths every 10 days
