Shot
This critter has been in my back yard for a month now. No, it's not machinery of any sort, there is nothing back there but forest. At first I thought it was a baby bird (hatchling), but a month later, I think not. It cranks up about 0230-0300 each morning, and stops about 7-8 when the sun hits that part of the yard. Then, back up around 1700, until 2100. So, click below and Name That Critter. Voice 006.m4a

KarenBravo
They're frogs. Only heard in the rainy season.
Shot
^^^That sounds about right. It started near the beginning of wet season, and that part of the yard has been under 2 inches of water for a month. It's driving the Mrs crazy and she has moved into the front bedroom which is at the farthest point from the critters.
JetsetBkk
I think there are more than one and they are on the job. I had an Italian neighbour a long time ago who complained that my pick-up's alarm system was making an annoying noise. He got quite upset when I told him it was only frogs. KarenBravo
It's not the frogs you have to worry about, it's the snakes that they attract......
