Work Permit and Non-B

Featured Replies

I need help with what I need to do from here. I recently acquired my work permit and now my non B is expiring in two days. Where do I go from here? Do I just go in for a 90 day check in or do I need to take some application forms or documents to apply for a 1 year extension? Im lost and my employer is no help. Here are the details,

  • Received first non-b 3 months ago
  • received work permit last week
  • Non-b expires in two days

Any help is appreciated

You need to apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working at immigration. You employer will have to supply a stack of documents to apply for it.

Required documents from Bangkok immigration website is here. extension to work.pdf

Not sure they will be able to provide the document in time for you to apply for the extension before your 90 day entry ends (not the visas expiration date). What is the admitted until date in your passport shown on the entry stamp. You may have to go out for a new non-b visa,

Thank you, I fear that leaving the country and starting all over is my best and easiest option. I have only one more concern. I have two non-b stamps in my passport already, is that going to be an issue?

Having a previous non-b visa should not be a problem. Having a valid work permit will help now that you have one.
