BigC Extra Casino imported French food, does you bigc extra sell all the good french delicacies as in BKK ?

Featured Replies

Hello, I have discovered the Casino brand french food sold at BigC extra Pratunam in Bangkok and I wonder if all the bigc in Thailand sell the cheese and frozen food ?

It seems that this French cheese and French frozen is a lot better than any US or UK imported food that usually taste like shxt, can you confirm that this Casino brand is really the best that we can find in Thailand ? I tried a lot and no other supermarket is having such an interesting choice.

Where do you live and does your BigC extra sell all the French Casino brand food ?

Any other shop selling the French food ?

So is it true that French food is really the best in the world ? I fell in love with these cheap things that are so good compared to all US or UK imported food, but sorry if I am wrong.

Thank you.

Casino products at all Big C markets in Thailand?

Absolutely not!

The Casino products are good but in upcountry (Khon Kaen or Udon Thani) I am happy if I find just one sort of Camembert, a selection a three or four cold cuts and one or two sorts of chocolate.

Of course a different picture at Big C Extra in Pattaya.

Big C Extra are not all over the country.

Since Big C has been taken over by a Thai enterprise it is going south,

Only prices go north (20% to 40% is not an exception).

Almost useless nowadays,

Sometimes walk out with two bags of Croissants

Couldn't agree more, and it is also clearly reflected in the decrease in customers in the Pattaya Branch.

If you have at times thousands of expired eggs on sale, that says something, because eggs are eaten by Thais and foreigners.

Never seen this happen when it was still owned by Casino.

But hey, the 1 baht promotions, which were also available 20 years ago when it was still owned by Central, are back

So its BKK, pattaya and phuket only ?

Weird, as expats are everywhere !

Or maybe most of them also know nothing about French food which is a lot better than anything imported from US or UK ?

Yes, (a few) foreigners are almost everywhere.

But the numbers are magnitudes bigger in the popular hotspots.

Ar least (!) 1000 times the foreigners in Pattaya than in our whole district (500 km2 , 200 square miles).

Hard to estimate the whole province.

Supply and demand.

But that's no excuse/explanation that the supply at Big C Khon Kaen has gone down significantly. Was much better over the years.
