Recommended guest house/ hotel near Science City Phatum Thani?

Featured Replies

Hi. I need to stay near Science City in Phatum Thani, edge of Bangkok,  for a couple of nights. Can anyone recommend a guest house or hotel?

Thanks.

I have been to SC; it is in the middle of nowhere. The Asia Airport Hotel in Rangsit advertises itself as being 13 km from Dream World, which would put it about 25 km from SC. I know of another place which is about the same distance from SC, but is farther from Bangkok, which is where I presume you are travelling from.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll just stay in central Bangkok. If I were to take a taxi FROM Science City to the nearest SkyTrain station or BTS station, what would those stations be?

I was going to suggest that you stay in central Bangkok, except that doing so would have violated my rule of confining my reply to answering the question which you asked.

The Stage 3 Expressway crosses Sukhumwit Road between Phrakhanong and Onnut BTS Stations. If you follow Stage 3 northbound, it eventually merges with the eastern leg of the Bangkok Ring Road (Highway 9). Then, follow that northbound. Technopolis  (Science City) is just east of the ring road. While I have never driven that route, I think that the distance and travel time would not be much longer than it would be if you stayed in Rangsit.
