good day I just want  to ask if anybody here try to cancel or surrender your work permit by yourself in the  labor office in Bangkok? what are the things needed? because I don't have a letter from my old school and the person who process our visa in my old school ask me to pay 5 thousand baht. So i decided i will surrender my work permit personally to the labor office and exit to Laos or do a visa run in Laos to cancel my non b extension visa ,It is possible?  I have already the new documents for non b  from my new school.

If doing a crossing overland you may be asked for a letter from your employer stating the date your job ended. If you do not have one they can refuse to allow you to leave the country.

I asked some agency regarding that matter they said that i can cancel my visa in laos without a letter. And just surrender my work permit when i arrive in thailand. But i am scared. But the school don't want to cooperate.

Your extension ends as soon as your leave the country. The problem will be leaving the country at the border crossings in Nong Khai or Mukdahan.

Immigration will not accept your work permit to cancel it when you enter the country or anywhere else.
