Permanent Residence

Featured Replies

I read after googling that as from about Dec 2015 it is possible to apply for PR, after living in Myanmar for at least 1 year, and that PR is granted for 5 year terms, with a $1,000 fee each year.

Can someone more knowledgable than me confirm these details, and comment on what advantages that a foreigner living and working in Myanmar might have with PR?

i have a friend of mine ( American)  in Mandalay that has permanent residency  he is married to a Burmese national and has kids

Cant seem to make up ur mind where to move to huh???Given up on Cambodia?   LOL

Strange comment.

I go where the work is.  I previously worked in Myanmar in 2012 and enjoyed my time there.  I previously worked in Laos and enjoyed my time there. I previously worked in Cambodia and I enjoyed my time there also.

From your avatar name, why don't you just stay in Phuket? :)

I worked briefly in Cambodia about 10 years ago - not worth mentioning

Why not try to answer my OP, rather than going completely off-topic?

I ask about PR because I return to work again in Myanmar and PR options are therefore of interest.
