Hi to all

I’m an Italian and now I’m in Thailand with  a single entry tourist visa .
I’m  planning to make a brief trip to Japan in November  with my girlfriend. I’m aware that I would apply for a reentry permit to Thailand. But since my extension will expire at the end of that month it may not be necessary to  get a reentry visa, since I'll entitled to enter in Thailand as a visa exempt status,  and then get 30 days . But the dilemma is: if I come back to Thailand without a reentry permit the airline could require to me a ticket to leave the Thailand within  30 days . Actually I don’t have any ticket to leave the Thailand because I’m still  don’t know the right day of  my departure, then  I’ll buy the ticket on line, just few days earlier, like as I always did . Last year  I made a trip to Vietnam  but at that time  I had a double entry  tourist visa, then I didn’t meet any problem at all to come back to Thailand. But unfortunately   the double entry is not   longer  available right now  They decided to kill the double and triple entry tourist visas  just after  the  Bataclan disaster But  issues like that are unaffected to the terrorists,  instead  they giving bad effects only  to the honest  and harmless people.
Anyway can I have any advices about my issue?

The airline may ask to see a ticket out of the country within 30 days arrival if you don'e have a valid visa for entry.

You could buy a low cost one way ticket to a nearby country to overcome the problem,

If you plan on staying longer it might be best to buy a ticket to Vientiane Laos or Penang where you could easily get anther single entry tourist visa.

Two and 3 entry tourist visas were eliminated when the multiple entry tourist visa became available in November of last year.

 

It's exactly what I  though to do.  I know about the multiple entry but unfortunately I don't meet the requirements to get it
