BANGKOK:-- A Ugandan woman has died after jumping from a condo in Bangkok during the early hours of Monday morning.

Police were called to the Suksawat Modern Condoview on Suksawat Road in the Rat Burana district just after 4am.

Upon arrival they spoke with a British man, named as Ashley Daniels, 30.

He told officers he was a friend of the woman and that the pair had returned to his room on the 16th floor at around 2am following a night out.

He said both he and the woman were sleeping when she got a call on her mobile phone.

After spending several minutes arguing on the phone, the woman suddenly got out of bed and jumped from the bedroom window to her death, reports Daily News.

Security guards told officers that Mr Daniels told them of the incident around 4am, when he ran out of the condominium building and jumped into the nearby klong where the woman’s body lay.

Daily News reports Mr Daniels works as a teacher at Panyasak School and that the woman had visited him at his condo on at least two separate occasions.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

The woman’s body has been sent to Siriraj Hospital for autopsy.

Bet he and the school are well happy about this detail being published.

Though the school may wonder what he was doing out until 2 a.m. on a school night...

According to the Bangkok Post the dead woman was fully clothed with shoes and handbag nearby and a phone in her pocket, yet her partner claimed that after the argument on the phone at 4am, when they had both been sleeping, she suddenly got out of bed and jumped out of the window...fully clothed, with shoes on and a handbag.   To some people that would be a normal way of sleeping, I suppose.

I wonder why the teacher's profession, and place of work, was highlighted when the occupation of his friend who died wasn't even touched on?  Perhaps the press didn't want to embarrass the woman's school or other employer.

Very bizarre story, it would be interesting to know the actual cause of her actions, no doubt it will be posted up here in a moments time..... all 30 different conclusions.

Regardless if posted or not , every person reading the basic "alleged facts" of this story will have their own opinion, theory or answers .

Although most will never come to a  consortium of agreement , it's individual freedom of thought "or lack of " that makes this forum somewhat interesting....at times.

He was a hard-working, decent farang teaching English language to little bar-girls & big mamasans before they went to bed at mid-night. School will be proud of him & give jobs to more farang able to behave in same way.

Just a little research would have shown that he is probably on a holiday break as his school is currently closed.

But, hey, so much easier just to make a nasty comment.

I'm at work now...admittedly the kids went home earlier but...

And what exactly was nasty?

It could have a simple explanation without anything sinister: she might have mistaken the balcony door for the front door in an attempt to make a quick exit after the 'phone call. If affected by alcohol, it could have been just a tragic accident.

Why did he jump into the klong after her? A last-ditch rescue effort?

Bit more difficult to mistake a window for the front door though and she went out of the window.
