Woman Gang-Raped, Killed in Mondulkiri

Featured Replies

A 30-year-old woman was gang-raped and killed in Mondulkiri province’s Keo Seima district on Sunday and the suspects are still on the run, police said yesterday.   On Sunday at about 2:15pm, the naked body of a woman was found by villagers in a forest in Sre Khtoum commune’s O-Arm village, according to district police chief Major Keo Bunthoeun.

He added that the victim was identified as Kreth Sreymom, a farmer living in Kratie province’s Snuol district. “According to an examination of her body, before her death she was raped by the offenders and was later killed,” he told Khmer Times yesterday by telephone.

“After killing her, the suspects dragged her into the forest and escaped,” he added. “According to our preliminary conclusion, she was probably persuaded by the suspects to visit Mondulkiri province so they could rape her. And the suspects maybe knew her or are from the same district.”

ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

More than scary!

Disgusting.

What a terrible way to die.

I hope Cambodia treats this type of violence against women (or men) more seriously than India and Thailand.

Poor woman.

What a terribly sad thing to happen to the poor woman and her family.  Let us hope that they catch the perpetrators and punish them to the full extent of the law, whatever that may be.
