jimlek
1. My current tourist visa is due to expire on the 19th of October, tomorrow I will receive the income letter from my embassy, which means there would be 14 days left on my visa, is this sufficient to apply for the retirement extension? 2. Does anyone know how long the income letter is valid for, in the eyes of the immigration office? Your replies are much appreciated
elviajero
1. They usually want at least 15 days if applying to convert a tourist entry to a Non 'O' Visa/entry. You could apply for a 30 day extension for tourism first and apply for the conversion at the same time. 2. Depends on the office. But they can be valid for up to 6 months.
