Hawaii trip: Thai Airways wants  internet prosecuted over leaked passenger list

BANGKOK — Police on Friday were deliberating a request from Thai Airways to prosecute those on social media who spread what was purported to be a leaked passenger list of the government’s now-controversial trip to Hawaii last week.

New land tax law may not be ready early next year

BANGKOK: -- The land and building tax law may not come into force early next year as earlier scheduled but this will not impact on the state coffers because the tax collected will go to local administrative bodies, said Deputy Finance Minister Visut Srisuphan on Friday.

Phuket drug raid nets three suspects with more than 71,000 meth pills, half kilo of ‘ice’

PHUKET:-- Police have arrested two men and a woman, and seized more than 70,000 meth pills, more than 600 grams of crystal meth (ya ice) as well as a gun, bullets and cars, within two days after breakthrough against a drug network run by an ominous “Mr Chaen”.

Sea creature invasion on Phuket beaches last month not jellyfish, says expert

Phuket health officials to test Surin Beach brown outflow

PHUKET:-- Health officials will conduct tests on water exiting an outflow pipe behind a hotel at Surin Beach despite being informed that it carries only rainwater run-off. Concern from officials follows the pipe spewing a plume of brown water onto the beach last Friday (Sept 30).
