Procedure for obtaining a work permit?

Featured Replies

My employer has applied for the wp3 and we are waiting for a document to get to Suvannakhet post office.  Other than all the documentation, how does this work? I need to apply for a B visa here too, but which comes first?  Do I get the visa then the permit, or permit then visa? My employer is with me, but his English, in technical terms, is less than good.  I think he has a good idea of what we're doing but I do not comma it's Saturday evening now and I know I will have to drop things off Monday between 8:30 and 11 and pick things up the next day but that's about all I know. Thank you for any short step by step instructions as to what I should expect.

You will apply for the non-b visa at the consulate. You will get your work permit issued after your return to the country by showing your non-b visa and the entry from it.

You can find the list of required documents here on the Vientiane embassy website. Savannakhet ask for the same documents. http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non-B business.pdf

You apply for the visa by 11 am the morning of one day and pick it up the next after noon.
