BANGKOK:-- Police in the body in the freezer case have said that the victim was not a CEO of a Los Angeles construction and train track laying company.

Bangkok cops now believe he is a small time printer.

The man was names as Charles Edward Ditlefsen earlier this week but this is also being verified with US authorities.

Commissioner Sanit Mahathavorn said that the toxicology test carried out at Chula Hospital indicate a chemical in the body but he gave no further details saying that reporters would have to wait for the full report.

At least ten other points in the case are being checked. Sanit gave a one to two week time frame before most of the matters would be resolved.

He said that reports of the victim's job in the press were false and that he was involved in printing in some minor capacity.

Three men are in custody after police raided a business premises in Sukhumvit Soi 56 two weeks ago looking for a passport forgery gang.

The cut up remains of a man believed to be a US citizen of Hungarian descent were found in six pieces in a large freezer on the property.

A tourist policeman was shot and injured during the raid.

‘Truth serum’ found on corpse

ANGSUMA SRIDOKKHAM
THE SUNDAY NATION

BANGKOK:-- AN initial test found traces of a substance on the corpse of an American man whose dismembered body was found in a freezer during a police raid at a building in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 56 last month, said city police chief Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn yesterday.

Sanit said unofficial test results showed chemicals had been used on the body but police were waiting for detailed test results from Chulalongkorn University's Forensic Science Department.

A source reported that the test found sodium thiopental, which is colloquially known as "truth serum", in the man’s liver at a ratio of 354.84 nanograms per one gram of tissue. The chemical is used at hospitals as anaesthesia to induce sleep.

They don't have a clue who he is but he's Hungarian descent and might have been in the publishing or printing business. Odd way of piecing clues together.

This deceased person has had so many identities all

ready, first the police said it was a young man, then a

blonde woman, then an old geezer, who was a CEO

of a big company, but no,now he was a small printer,

which makes the most sense if they were forging

passports, but no mention of printing presses,

Just hope the police dont mess up the investigation,

in this case, justice needs to be served.

These must be some of the "Good guys in Bad Guys out"

bad guys, that are inconveniencing us good guys, through

increased Government policies.

It's possible he's just asleep, and he might wake up soon to resume his small-time printing activities.

The stories and facts get more interesting.

Probably a case of arguing, anger, greed and death.

Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of it.

Perhaps it could be best to hide the body and let time pass before getting rid of the evidence perhaps. Maybe it wasnt so easy to do so. Let the heat wear off im thinking. Harder to peice together what happened id bet.

Could be simple extortion even but that would mean theres more to the story.

Far stretch but who knows.

Interesting none the less

<<"Letting the heat wear off; harder to piece together" >>

was that intentionally written? Lol, anyway, keeping a frozen body in the lair is just asking for trouble, wonder if it was ever used as a threat against people , brought out on special occasions to show what would happen if one didn't play by their rules. Stinks of people smuggling and recruiting drug mules for the Pakistani gang to me.

Later on we will be told he's not dead at all ...

Truth drug? in his body, getting more bizarre by the day, I think as time goes by this story will die a natural death by boredom.

I think it is highly provable that Thai personal are involved in which case the story is certain to die.

The only part of the story that I would really like to know is why he or they held on to the body??????????????????

Maybe it was insurance against Thai personal, maybe this bust was accidental.

More theories please.

Apart from making themselves look stupid with all the volte-faces, I can't see one good reason for the BiB to make any press statements at all until his ID and cause of death is finally established. Police and news media have always had an uncomfortable relationship but it can be mutually beneficial if handled correctly.

Now wait a minute, the original story about this said that a suspicious neighbor called the police about the freezer that she had noticed was heavy when they moved it in, but the guys never seemed to use it. Now they are saying they found the body during a raid looking for a passport forgery gang.  Police never had a clue of any of it till she called and then it all fell in their laps.

Maybe they grew fond of it. There was a famous case in the UK. Dennis Nilsen.

I think we all know where this story is going, I suspect the police know everything, as does the American embassy. A suicide would be appropriate at this moment.
