webfact
White Temple now has bell tower to attract visits CHIANG RAI: -- The "White Temple" or commonly known as Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai now has a bell tower as another attraction for tourists to visit. National News Bureau of Thailand reported that the temple opened a bell tower yesterday. The opening ceremony for the bell tower was attended by over 2,000 people in white attire. The tower hangs a beautiful dark gold bell which was uniquely designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai visual artist who constructed the temple. Mr Chalermchai offered the bell to the abbot of Rong Khun temple who gave blessings and sprinkled holy water onto the attendees. Muhendis
Please take note Thai PBS, That bell is not in a tower. A tower is a tall structure, taller than it is wide, often by a significant margin. (wiki free dictionary)
tifino
If it was a 'tower' then it'd become a part-time mosque

HHTel
Quote Well that justifies the new entrance fee then. People believe this to be a real temple but it's not. It's a privately owned exhibit and is not a religious building at all. The owner can charge an entrance fee for whatever reason. As has been said it's a 'tourist trap' Quote the White Temple, is a contemporary, unconventional, privately owned, art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. It is owned by Chalermchai Kositpipat, who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997. It is NOT a religious temple, but rather a tourist attraction. It is open all year round.
