BANGKOK, 10 October 2016 (NNT) – The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has unveiled a catalog of assets and liabilities of 20 officials of the Prayut Chan-ocha administration whose duties have ceased.

Uttama Savanayana, who was previously the minister of Information and Communication Technology, was shown to over 207 million baht in assets with 42 million baht in liabilities.

Among the 20, former Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula was listed with the most assets at 1.33 billion baht with no debt.

Ex-Minister for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives Pitipong Puengboon Na Ayuthaya has 1.07 billion baht in assets. Former Energy Minister Narongchai Akkaraseranee has 283 million baht in assets. Departing minister for foreign affairs Gen Thanasak Patimaprakorn has 184 million baht in assets and now former Education Minister Adm Narong Pipattanasai had the least assets at 12 million baht.

Two former members of the National Legislative Assembly also had their wealth reported with Gen Sirichai Distakul reporting 105 million baht in assets with no debt and Gen Anantaporn Kanjanarat filing assets worth 47 million baht.

It certainly pays well to be a general in Thailand. I wonder it the assets of current members of the administration will be unveiled.

Unusual wealth

Unusual power

Unusual justice

Unusual privileges

for unusual people =okay

The special folks with power to abuse don't care and if they do, they'll lie to hide the truth.

Is article 44 going to be used to haul these guys off?

Interesting how both Gen Sirichai Distakul and Gen Anantaporn Kanjanarat have lost wealth since their NLA asset declarations back in 2014...

Get Sirichai went from 108,821,375.54 to 105,000,000, and Gen Anantaporn went from 48,800,252 to 47,000,000... :coffee1:

Unwise investments?

Maybe these surveys should carry a government warning: " The value of your generals can go down as well as up."

How does one get a billion in assets on a government salary? Hmmm....must be a miracle.

Anyone got a good carving knife?

There's some spit pig 'ere by the trough.

Geez military wages are very good in Thailand.

He is rich you are poor. Makes sense to me.

It's a pretty bad investment if one can't come out in front in three years... :whistling:

I think they should investigate how all these people obtained Powerball tickets and became winners. Damn I must buy more lottery tickets. Forget about the Thai lottery.

Property rich cash poor ancestors. Didn't the PM inherit a ton of land from his father or someone. Just look at land prices here through the roof.

Marry well, inheritance, fantastic investment nous - all been put forward before.

Source of funds - p*** off and mind your own business. How quaint.

Note it is their declared assets, what about that of the extended family? So you spend some money and your declared assets decrease but that of the  family soar? For example government contracts to family members, jobs to family and friends and pay for play payments.

Yes, just like Prayuth's 600 million baht land sale in 2013 which prompted his now infamous "“I don’t know. I don’t remember, I am not a businessman. Please don’t ask me about this.”

Great to see that political power, is not all about money..

Its either girls or gambling or stuffed under bed. Why only 12 million Baht for Adm Narong Pipattanasai; he is top brass. Some of these guys are very very wealthy. Where did it come from? Ah isn't it good that article 44 is there to protect the people who are there to protect and serve. :stoner:
