I am wondering if anyone can help with my question.

 

I know I can apply for a 12month Non O Multi Entry based on Marriage that requires me to exit every 90days, I know all documents that I need for that.

 

My question is (instead of using the marriage certificate) can the Visa be obtained with the Birth Certificate.

 

My point is if in the future I was divorced or separated from my wife could I use this route to obtain the Visa?

 

Leaving every 90days is not much of a hassle for me so I was not planning to go to the Immigration to try make this a dependency Visa or (if I used the marriage Cert to obtain the Non O a marriage Visa)

Savannakhet will not do a multiple entry non-o based upon being the parent of a Thai at this time. The only nearby location doing them is Penang and you need to show 400k baht in the bank to get one.

• No. They will only issue it based on marriage. You would only get a Single Entry Non 'O' with a birth certificate.
• You could probably get a Multiple Entry from the Consulate in Penang, as a parent, by showing 400K in the bank or a minimum income of 40K pm.

2. 400,000K in bank for 3 months? letter from bank?

3, Copy Passport

4. Blue Tabian Baan? ( I have my own Yellow House book same address as my son)

 

What else? can this be obtained without any proof of marriage? ( again this would be my case if divorced or separated)

1. Yes and a copy.

2. Just your bank book showing the money in the bank on the date your apply (no need for 2 months proof).

3. It would be a copy of the house book registry of your child.

No need for proof of marriage.

How do you get your Thai bank book updated showing the 400K on the same day that you apply in Penang? Or will they accept the bank book updated the day before you apply?

Do you also need to have a copy of the Mothers ID card?

There is no requirement for the bank book to be updated on the date you apply. It only needs to be recently updated. A day or two before you make the trip would be acceptable.

Many people submit it with the application but in reality it is not required.

Only your child's birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry is needed.
