Good morning all.

I have a retirement visa in combination with a multiple in/out permit valid until the 28th of Oct 2016. I re-entered the country on 7 july 2016, admitted until 28 Oct 2016 as the stamp in my passport mentions. Does that indeed mean I did not have to show up at the immigration office after a three month period, i.e. 7th Oct 2016.  Hope anybody can confirm it was okay to NOT go to the immigration office the 7th of Oct, otherwise I am overstaying.

Do you have a visa or an extension of stay based upon retirement you obtained at immigration. If you have a re-entry permit it appears you have an extension not a visa. If on an extension the 28th of October it s the date you need to apply for a new one on or before then.

You appear to be asking about doing your 90 day reporting at immigration. Your report of staying longer than 90 days in the country was due on the 4th of October. Not doing the report on time is not an overstay. The normal fine for it is 2000 baht.

If you re-entered on 7 July the  90 day report was due on 04 Oct.

You should attend the local immigration office as soon as possible to rectify the matter. Expect to be fined 2000 Baht for late reporting.

You are not on overstay  but if you wish to remain in Thailand you must apply for an extension of stay based on retirement, which is not a visa, before Oct 28.
