2nd Non B Application

Featured Replies

Sucessfully obtained a single entry Non b at the Thai Embassy in Hong Kong. In the process of extending this to a 2 year Non B + Work Permit under BOI.

I have to go to HK this week for a meeting and now want to know if I can go to the Thai Embassy in HK again and apply for another Non B Single entry (There's no other way for me to leave the country than to apply for a brand new Non B again)

Any problems? Or should be fine? They might ask themselves (or me) why they need to give me a Non B again.

Thanks.

You could get a re-entry permit to keep the remainder of the 90 entry valid when you return from your trip.

If you need more time than what will be left of the 90 day when your return you should be able to apply for another non-b visa. It would help if you have already gotten a work permit or at least have the receipt for the application to show.

Hi Ubon Joe,

Thanks. Although this is a Single Entry Non B I can still do an re-entry permit? The 90 days if more than enough, it's just that I need to go there this week.

A re-entry permit can be obtained for any type of entry including one made with a single entry "B" visa.

If that's the case then there should be no problem me leaving and coming back on the same Single Entry Non B as long as I apply for a re-entry permit at the airport.. Is that correct? I wasn't aware of this since I always understood the single entry would expire when leaving.

You visa is already expiered. The re-entry permit is for the 90 day entry you got from it on entry.

When you enter the country using the re-entry permit you will get the same admitted until date you got when you used your visa for entry.

Great. No it's not expired yet, so I can just come back and ride out the initial 90 days I got when entering the first time.

Just put the re-entry number on the visa number place on the arrival card.

If you get re-entry at airport, bring photo.

By expired UJ meant used. Whether or not it's expired is irrelevant because you have already activated (used) the one time permission to stay for 90 days, and a re-entry permit will protect that 90 days.
