Status of new Ratchaburi Immigration Office

Hello, I have to do my 90 day report tomorrow, October 17. Is the new Thai Immigration Office open in Ratchaburi, or do I continue going to Nakon Pathom?

 

Also, my due date was October 9 (happens to be a Sunday), meaning I had until the 16th . With the offices being closed on Friday, the 14th, I understand I have until the 17th with no fine.

 

Does this sound right?

If your report was due on October 9th the last day you could have reported without a fine was October 14th. Weekends and days when the office are closed are counted in the grace period. So whenever you report you'll probably be fined 2,000 baht. That said as the 14th was a last minute closure they might make an exception.

Thanks for that information elviajero. I will hope that they are lenient, but I won't count on it.

 

I still would like to know whether the new office in Ratchaburi has opened yet.

Make it clear that you wanted to report on Friday, and given the circumstances I think there is a very good chance they will be lenient.

Thanks again elviajero. I checked it out and saw posts from people who have used the new office. That is where I am headed tomorrow.
