Bill3173
I have tried to search for the answer here by to no avail. I seem to remember reading that at the Thai consulate in Vientiane, you can receive 3 consecutive (in the same passport) SETV's for Thailand and they will give a red warning stamp on the last visa issued. I am have received 2 SETV's already and was planning on traveling to Vientiane to obtain a third SETV. Can someone confirm that my understanding is correct. Regards Bill. ubonjoe
You likely will not get a stamp for the 3rd visa but if you did it would not effect you getting one later at another embassy or consulate.
Bill3173
Thank you ubonjoe. I assume by "Stamp" you mean the warning stamp, and I should get the visa ok. (let me know if I am wrong) P.S. You are a great asset to this forum, and is much appreciated. Regards Bill.
PattayaParent
Didn't they just change the rules to say you can have as many SETV as you want, no having to stay outside Thailand for 90 days?
ubonjoe
Yes the warning stamp. No problem to get the visa.

No changes to the rules since there never has been a rule that you need to be out of the country 90 days to get another visa.

IMA_FARANG
That 90 day "rule" was discontinued many years ago.....but we still hear it being told as still true. How long have you been sleeping, Rip Van Winkle? I believe that you must stay out of he country more than 90 days "rule" goes back to before the Thaksin days. Not valid for a long time.
