need my wife`s birth certificate translated

Featured Replies

I need my wife`s birth certificate translated so that I can send it to the UK for my daughter`s passport application.

They require both parents certificates even though when we went to VFS in Bangkok to submit the application they said that we did not need to do that, is this normal procedure?

Anyway, is there a translation service available in the Pattaya area?

one that the is good enough to be accepted by the UK

thank you

There are translation services in Pattaya, but you may need it to be certified, and far as I know that is only in Bkk at the foreign affairs office. You can get acceptable translations done there as well.

Normally translation services authorized to do MFA work can take care of the MFA registration as legal copies for you at extra cost.

I had a couple of Thai birth certificates translated into English by 'Soi Post Office Translation' which were accepted by the UK Embassy for issuing UK passports. Located on left side heading towards Beach Road and near to the end of the soi. This was a number of years back so not sure if still there or not.

okay thank you for your input.

will check out soi post office first, if its gone we`ll have to go to bkk again, not good!

Have you done a Google search - there should not be any need to leave Pattaya - "pattaya mfa translations" brings up 13,000 hits.
