SURAT THANI: -- Police say they have a DNA match with a neighbor in the rape murder of a seven year old girl on Monday.

The suspect in custody had only just been released from prison after serving jail time for an attempted rape in the same area in 2010.

The horrific case has shocked the Phra Saeng community in the southern province. The girl's parents had left her home alone while they wet out to work in a rubber plantation, reports Daily News.

When they returned home they heard their daughter crying for help in her bedroom that was locked from the inside. When they broke down the door the assailant had already fled away behind the house.

Their daughter was now unconscious. A stream of blood was flowing from her vagina. She was rushed to hospital but died later.

Police rounded up 13 men in the immediate neighborhood and checked their DNA against a semen sample from the victim.

One matched - 27 year old Chainarin (or Neung) was arrested. His surname was withheld.

Police discovered that Chainarin had been released from prison on September 1st after serving time for an attempted rape in the same Phra Saeng area in 2010.

Why not publish his surname? They also publish every farangs name.....he won't get old in jail.

" Police rounded up 13 men in the immediate neighborhood and checked their DNA against a semen sample from the victim. "

I await the screams of protest from out human rights defenders.

Poor child. Yet again a horrible event that could have been prevented. Stop letting these psychos out.

Cover the bastard with  the sent of a filly , strap him over a tree and let the stallion in.

RIP little girl.

Bury him up to his neck - in the woods.  Don't even put grape jelly on his eyelids.  Just let the ants take their sweet time.

And why would you?

RIP little girl.   If this happened in the West, the guilty party would no doubt spend many years in jail, but he would probably be released into society eventually and be free to commit a similar crime again. This man spent time in jail for attempted rape but clearly did not learn any lessons and then went on to commit an even more horrible crime.

In the West, I expect that certain "Human Rights" organisations would be there to ensure fair treatment and priveledges for the criminal (as was the case recently for the mass murderer in Norway)  and there might even be special visitors with books etc to ensure that he did not feel too lonely or bored in his cell.

Put him in the middle of the Village where it happened with his feet and hands tied together and let the locals deal with it !

RIP the poor little soul robbed of a life.

Poor, poor child.

Poor parents.

Poor posters showing of the fact that the veneer of civilisation in so many of them is very thin indeed.

The medieval bloodlust is clearly present.

Mob mentality, so abhorred in writing about Thai people, clearly is the same mentality.

Of course the bastard must get a long sentence, maybe lifelong.

But that is up to a court of law.

if  you  want to  see such things as u promote there is a video of  a  man with  both hands  cut  off his  face removed ie cut  off and a  machete in his  mouth through his  throat  pinning  him  down to  the  floor  whilst his throat  is  slowly  cut...........he  is   still alive whilst  this is  being  done;................... is  this  really  what u want?

better yet, put him in a shed, place his dick in a vice and wind it tight then chain it up so it cant be undone, place a very blunt knife next to him and set the shed on fire, now that would be justice

Pretty disturbing that they rounded up 13 men in the immediate area who were possible suspects.  Good work by the police but a sad reflection on life in Thailand

What civilization do you think the perpetrator lives in? Sadistically raping and viciously killing a beautiful, sweet child does not deserve a response that conforms to our idea of civilized justice. Stuff him. Tear him to pieces.

Fully agree about the poor child.

For the last part, out of the womb you mean?

But make scene if you looking for a child molesting bastard that is to lazy to even do the crime to from his front door.

I hope you are talking about Sylvester Stallone

Post have been removed for being OTT with suggestions of violence. Let's keep it civil and within forum rules boundaries, though considering the topic we can understand the emotional responses

How many times does someone have to prove that they are a menace to society before society takes action to protect the innocent?

Truth hurts you does it ?

Hope he dies a miserable drawn out death.

Hope the judge makes sure he has the right guy and gives him life. (Thailand no longer has death penalty I believe).

Thailand does have the death penalty, the guy who murdered the little girl on the sleeper train received a death sentence, I seem to recall

I googled it.

You are correct.

Death sentence then.

Guy is a repeat offender.. .

Tough situation but still, the parents left a 7 year old girl alone.
