Public access to Dusit Maha Prasart postponed to Saturday

Mourners wait in lines to pay respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in front of his portrait at the Grand Palace Monday.

 

BANGKOK: -- Public members will be allowed to pay homage to His Majesty the late King in front of his royal urn inside the Grand Palace’s Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall from Saturday onwards, the Royal Household Bureau announced Sunday.

 

The Throne Hall will be opened for public from 9am-4pm on Saturday.


Authorities estimated huge amount of mourners nationwide thronging to Sanam Luang on the first day that they are allowed to enter the Throne Hall where the royal urn is resting and the body of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej is in a coffin nearby the urn.
