EOD inspects Pattani explosion scene to hunt perpetrators

 

 

BANGKOK: -- As security forces in the deep South are on heightened alert for today’s 12th anniversary of the Tak Bai military crackdown in 2004, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) police this morning continued to search the badly damaged noodle shop in Pattani town for evidence to hunt down the  perpetrators responsible for the blast last night.

 

The bomb blast at the crowded night market killed 2 woman and injured 20 others.

 

Investigation revealed that two men came into the noodle shop and ordered food.

 

As the shop was quite full with customers, the two men quietly left a bag containing a five-kilo home made bomb in the shop and quickly walked out.

 

A few minutes later the bomb exploded.

 

EOD said the bomb was detonated by mobile phone call .

 

The bomb killed Mrs Somporn Kuntakapun and Miss Narisara MakChuchit, A Mattayom 6 student, and injured 20 others.

 

Shortly after the blast, the scene was sealed off as security officials feared more bombs might be planted.

I hope that these thug, or who ever they are, are caught and hanged fr their crime.

  The south part of Thailand is a place that is way too dangerous for me to go and I

hope that in the future , the rebels and insurgents all get  rounded up and sent to

prison for a long time.  Some will no doubt run to the country next door in the south ,

but it is time that Thailand become a peaceful country once again.

This is only my opinion of course
