Options after 30 day border run

Featured Replies

I currently have a 30-day Tourist Visa after doing a recent border run to Cambodia.

This was issued as my 60-day Non-O extension was about to expire. (married to a Thai)

I had previously had two one year Non-O visas back to back. (I am from England)

I have been told I can get a one off 30 day extension to my tourist visa at Chang Wattana,I want to know if this is true? As I plan to go to Savanekt in December sometime to apply for a one year Non-O visa again.

And will this be a problem as I have had two one year Non-O’s,followed by a 60 day Non-O extension which was then followed by a border run for a tourist visa.

Thanks again guys

You can get a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry (not a tourist visa) or a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

There is no limit on getting the extensions other than only one per entry.

You can get another 60 day extension since you have a new entry. The only limit is one per entry.

It is no problem at all to extend your 30 day Visa Exempt for another 30 days, I do the same myself, cost is 1900 Baht

So now all I have a 30 day visa exemption,That's possible to get 60 days instead of 30 days based on marriage to a Thai?

Or only another 30 day Visa exemption?

You can apply for either of the extensions.

No need to get another entry.

What do I need for the 60?And should there be any problems I have gone from a Non-O?

Your wife will need to be with you when you apply. Marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

You will not have a problem due to your previous history of visas, extension or entries.

Any idea what form I need for the 60 day extension married to a Thai?

As my 30 days Visa exempt is due up Saturday.

You will use a TM7 form to do the application. Download and print two sided. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf
