SONGKHLA: -- Suspected militants bombed an ATM in Songkhla’s Thepa district and opened fire at security forces in Pattani province late Wednesday night in what was believed to be coordinated attacks.

An ATM of Government Savings Bank located at Ban Phra Put in Thepa district was damaged by a bomb explosion. It was not known whether money inside the machine was stolen or not as details about the incident were sketchy.

Almost simultaneously, a police booth in Tambon Trohbon in Sai Buri district came under automatic gunfire, but none of the policemen inside were harmed. In Yaring district, security forces were shot at by suspected militants, but there was no injury.

Thanks God, but what ammunitions were used by  the bad boys? Maybe cotton balls or paint bullets

Maybe from military weapon/munition armories in the South for which its contractor paramilitary has access. But surely they wouldn't sell such weapons to private parties (ie., insurgents) for financial gain?

Wonder if more to come when ISIS is kicked out of Syria ?

I wonder if the government will go so far as to ban entry of foreign Muslim tourists, except maybe Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Bahrain or Iran citizens?

if someone used sub-machine for a minutes can easily understand the consequences. What I cannot understand, how it is possible to fire without victims in a relatively dense area....  (I am happy that this case produced no victims and wounds at all, just before someone ......  5555 )
