ARANYAPRATHET: -- Hustle and bustle is back at the large Rong Klua border market in Aranyaprathet today when thousands of Cambodian traders returning to the market with large amount of second hand winter coats to sell to Thai shoppers flicking to the border market looking for cheap clothes as now the country is entering the cold season.

The Meteorological Department said rainy season in the upper part of the country has ended with the arrival of cold season expected early this month.

As the Rong Klua border market opened this morning, immigration authorities said several thousands of  Cambodian and Chinese traders crossed over from Poi Pet to Aranyaprathet’s Rong Klua market with their merchandises to sell.

Most are winter coats, which is becoming popular among Thai shoppers.

Thai shoppers bought these winter coats in bulks for reselling to buyers in Bangkok’s JJ Park and elsewhere in the provinces.

The most sought after colour of winter coats is black to suit the current mourning period of the country.

Cambodian traders said they expected over 500 tons of a second hand winter coats will be ordered for sale at Rong Klua market.
