Went to a big wedding Saturday night with lot of Canadians. They have been building bunkers for the American influx if Trump wins.  Seriously, heard a lot of great jokes about this from them.

Please try to modernize yourself. FBI utilized software that has been proven to have done this. Google it if you want to, but try not to spread Trump-like thinking on this forum.

This would be enough reason alone for Trump to win.

Ok , now I understand what kind of ambition Trump supporters do have for America : a gated community -  this project matches perfectly to Trump's skills. as successful realtor

Trump will build the wall on the southern border - paid by the Mexicans,  while Canadians will assume their fair share  of the burden with the northern one.

For the economy, as simple as possible, this gated community is a tax haven : industries will relocate automatically.

For the rest , it's casino, but it's the price to pay to let  Trump'EGO play  POTUS

Trump taking a bit of a battering today from the republican establishment including Bush senior saying he will vote for Clinton.  This is via the BBC so we can expect the Trump supporters to call "rigged".  Certainly baiased but it is coming from actual recorded statements.

555 That Bush is kind of a cunning runt isn't he?

Probably knows full way his endorsement for Clinton will lose her many votes both Dem & Rep 555

That is certainly one way of looking at it and with the amount of senior republicans that are dismissing Trump as a loser then that would be a very intelligent plan.  Far more likely that the republicans see a win for Trump as being akin to the death of the republican party.

The Republican party is toast.

Stock futures up over 200 points with the Comey announcement that the email thingy was all bullshit. Hillary will still be elected in a landslide and all is right in the world.

Buy.

Bring it.

Please Jr, grab your gun and get out there on Wednesday. The election has been stolen from you. Start shooting up shit, rioting. Go Bundy! That's where you want this to go, then go. Storm the Bastille! Go for it!

We'll see just how full of shit the trumpeteers are come Wednesday, as they put their tail between their legs and whimper on back home after a devastating defeat. Gun toting, race baiting, morons with military skills they learned at the last Klan meeting, will last about 20 minutes.

On Tuesday Republicans lose everything. Any dignity...is long gone.

either way, this election will be the beginning of something new in the USA.  Don't know what that is, but if you put together both Sanders's followers and Trump's, two sets of people who are looking for change, big change, then some kind of coalition is slowly being formed, and that coalition will not put up with this kind of sh!te any longer.

An election in which some person, a combination of George Washington and Abe Lincoln, was garnering 60--70% of the vote would be v interesting and revolutionary.

No way the USA can go on with business as usual.

Yeah, except it wasn't.

One day maybe you'll cut and paste something that's actually true, but not until you read something other than right wing nutjob websites.

I think you overestimate the attention span of the average American citizen. Give it a few weeks and "election fever" will be a memory. The next I-Thing from Apple or terrorist attack or other big news will swamp the airwaves and the focus will move elsewhere. The majority of Americans want this election to be over and soon it will be. There is always talk of a revolution or political change but it never really happens. In 2+ years, a whole new set of themes and memes will sprout up for the 2020 campaign and that will be the new talk of the country. Shampoo, rinse, repeat.

Probably 25% of the electorate is partially or fully dis-engaged from interest in what makes their world work in terms of their governments actions. Another 50% are blind partisan lemmings who question nothing their party of choice does.   That leaves maybe 25% who exercise some critical thinking skills and it isn't enough.

Unfortunately, the majority will need to feel pain and hardship before really demanding change

My guess is that Comey "voluntarily" tenders his resignation and DOJ conducts a quiet purge within the Bureau replacing all relevant leadership with  obedient  soldiers

Thats cool. But lets not let the nation try to kid itself that a megalomaniac sociopath is the man to do it. The world is simply too small. 300 and 200 years ago the world did not care who was President, 60% didn't even know that America existed. Now its very different. The very mention that Clinton is NOT under further investigation by the FBI affects global stock markets within seconds.

It was no Brown envelope. The Clinton foundation has been openly audited and its finances are publicly available. NOT so the Trump foundation, where NYC have already ceased it from operating and it is looking like racketeering and fraud charges will follow.

I am also from the other side of the big pond and reading reports, from many different CREDIBLE  sources and how you and a few others see it is not how me and many others see it. Yes good luck to the US and it's residents as Trump is not finished creating chaos yet!

It may be how you and a few others see it but the vast majority over the pond see Trump as a fool and a moron.

I don't care if they think of themselves as obedient soldiers or not. Just as long as they aren't arbitrarily using their office to influence elections. The Trump contingent has to go, every last wingnut Special Agent. There should never be a repeat performance of FBI agents going rogue and actively pursuing someone for political reasons. This behavior by the FBI last week from the director on down was a disgrace. Obama should ask for Comey's resignation...Wednesday morning. This Trump bullshit has influenced the election enough.

Obama may not have to ask for a resignation. Comey is a dead duck over there. He may come to that conclusion on his own. He's so <deleted> stupid I can't make that call, I just figure he's history one way or the other. Idiot.

"a few weeks", more like 36 hours if that excepting hanging chads.

Much of this election is being played out in social media and on the internet.   I like discussing politics and have been back for about a month.   I have spent a lot of time talking to people and no one I have run into is too fussed about the whole thing.   Quite a few have strong opinions, but even when discussing things with them, there are no heated exchanges, just remarks like, "I am going to cancel your vote."

Face-to-face, it's been pretty much civil.
