BANGKOK: -- The Public Relations Department has launched another television programme in an attempt to boost understanding about the government’s work and policies among the people.

The Monday-to-Friday programme, “Clear Cut Chad Jen” (Very Clear-cut), will start airing next Monday at 8.30pm via the department’s National Broadcasting Services of Thailand channel – also known as NBT.

Government Spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd, recently appointed acting director-general of the Public Relations Department, said the programme’s content would focus on current and hot issues, especially those involving government policies and projects such as the double-track rail lines and the digital economy.

Current and hot issues as seen from the junta's perspective and with an ' everything in the garden's rosy ' delivery.

If everything is so wonderful why is it necessary to keep selling it ?

The digital economy? How about getting broadband Fibre to all the cities and villages first.

Corrupt Police NOW THAT is a HOT ISSUE methinks .

"As many people have very little understanding about these matters, the programme will promote them and try to build correct understanding about the government’s work, he said".

Yes, the Thai people are basically stupid and this means we have to explain everything to them in a childlike manner.  We will bring "experts" to do this who will agree whole-heartedly that we are in indeed making the Thai people deliriously happy.

What? We look like a laughing stock in the eyes of the world (excluding N. Korea and China)?  They just don't understand Thailand.

The fact that they are rolling out yet another one of these absurd programmes that no ones is likely to watch reflects the depth of the insecurity of the powers that be, and the complete and total disconnect between fantasy and reality.

they comb facebook to see what they need to concentrate on. was just wondering what the boss has used his.44 on lately.

"...The PR Department has launched another television programme in an attempt to boost understanding about the government’s work and policies among the people..."

Rather than allowing Thai people to see the reality, these guys continue to attempt anything to pull the wool over their eyes !!!

Speech? Super hot.

The old saying,

You can fool  some of the people all of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time , seems not to be the norm here, most of the people are fooled most of the time and that is scary especially when discontent and discussion is also thwarted by a civil law made criminal and people are spirited away without so much as a by your leave or other reason .

it is no wonder tempers are being lost by the average Joe public as they know that the law is being flouted daily by those who should be making sure the country is law-abiding and the top officials have their collective heads  buried in the sand.
