WASHINGTON: -- The American media leapt on voters as they left the polling stations, eager to find out how they had voted and to get an early snapshot of the voting trends. Several chose to focus on key swing states and the South.

“It’s been a very difficult process. It’s not about this year who you vote for, it’s almost about who you’re voting against. I felt like the issues weren’t necessarily addressed like they normally are”, said George Jones in the key state of North Carolina.

Jacob Burt was also voting in North Carolina:

“I voted for Hillary Clinton primarily because when I look at Donald Trump I think that as a leader he doesn’t demonstrate some necessary personality traits. I think it’s good for leaders to come in and shake things up but I think you have to do it in a way to make people feel comfortable with you, to trust you.”

In Louisiana Bill Smith said he voted against the status quo:

“I voted proudly for Donald Trump as president of the United States, as much as for what he does as for what Hillary Clinton doesn’t do. I believe that Donald is going to be the person to bring our country into unification, to join forces together, to surround himself with quality men and women that haven’t been purchased with money.”

I think that above and beyond all. This is what the US and the world all over really needs. To change the status quo. Another 4 to 8 years of the same old same old could well bring the world into a full scale global conflict.
