Most actual 1/2 bedroom places are to Western standards with prices to match. I've only been able to find 2 places at the lower price ranges, a 1 bedroom (with a balcony deep sink) for 8,500, and a 2 bedroom with no kitchen at all for 9,500. Both in the general 2nd to 3rd road area (where I'm searching). 

 

Does anyone know of Thai style buildings that have separate bedrooms in this price range in between 2nd and 3rd rd?

In the Sois around Tukcom  above the  shop rows of houses are  lots of rooms to rent   in fact most shop houses around Pattaya will have 3-4 storeys mostly empty above the  actual shop  some have been fitted out some you could quite cheaply get fitted

there will be  mostly hand written signs on the buildings in Thai saying   "room for rent"     ห้องพักให้เช่า   or shorten to  ห้องช่า

these won't be found on any "real estate agents "  web sites  you have to walk or ride around and find them yourself.
