November 11, 20169 yr What is the process and requirement at immigration for transfer stamps to the new passport along with the letter from the embassy. Is there any charge to do this?
November 11, 20169 yr Depends which Immigration Office, twice in the last 10 years I have been charged 500 Baht to transfer stamps at Hua Hin Immigration, the last time I challenged the Officer and told him it should be a free service and he replied it's not me it's the boss Suffice to say I had to pay the 500 if I wanted the stamps transferred with no problems
November 11, 20169 yr Khon Kaen, 500 Baht, no receipt. Draw your own conclusion. They didn't even care for the letter from embassy (which I had).
November 11, 20169 yr There is no 'official' charge. You need to complete application form TM.8. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=download

And make sure that each passport double-page containing ID details or visas and stamps is copied on to an A4 sheet. I got told off by Rayong Immigration a few years ago for providing them with A5 copies, and they made me get A4 copies instead! Edited November 11, 20169 yr by OJAS
