Good morning everyone,

I'm currently on an extension of stay from an expired non immigrant O visa (marriage)

My extension of stay end next 18 November, I have 3 months salary with taxes, where should I go to renew my extension? can I go to any immigration office or only where I made my work permit?

so I have to bring a proof of where I'm living? the main office of my company is in Chonburi province, where I made my work permit, but I rent a house in Rayong near the last project we are working on.

You will need to do your extension application at Rayong immigration since you are applying for an extension based upon marriage. You will need to do a change of address.

If you were applying for one based upon working you would do it at in Chonburi.

It can get complicated when you both are not living full time at the same place.

Your wife has to  be with you when you apply for your extension.

You need photos of you together in and around the house. There is also the possibility of a home visit if you change addresses and immigration offices.

It is your choice as to which office to do the application but you will need to do your 90 day reports to that office.

Perhaps best it you wife could be with you when you apply Rayong and stay for awhile.

She is going to call the immigration in Ratchaburi, would be a bit difficult to bring my wife and 3 children in Rayong just for one day. Is that possible to get one year extension?  my current extension expire in 2 days a bit short for changing address. She has a tabien ban, I bought her land and house in Ratchaburi but I rent a house near my work in Rayong.

So in Ratchaburi it should be fineif I go with my wife?

Yes but you will need to be present if they schedule a home visit as well as for the application.

You will also have to your 90 day reports to them in person or by mail. If you can do them online then that would make it easy.

So I can get one year but I have to report every 90 days at the immigration office or online. Should I explain that I'm working and so living in Rayong?

They will visit even if my wife has her tabien ban and I'm not living with her? If so do they say which day they visit?

There is no problem living between two addresses, but your marital home should be the address you use as the address for the application. I would not volunteer any information unless it's asked for.

If they decide to do a home visit you'll need to be there. They'll probably tell you when you apply that a visit will be done. The visit is normally done soon after the application date. They should contact, probably your wife by phone, you before visiting, but you probably won't get much notice.

I would not say that you are living full time in Rayong. Working would be alright since you will be using your income to meet the 40k baht income requirement.

The will call to set a time for the home visit.

Those are normal requirements if you are using your income from working to meet the income requirement.

we had to submit a lot of documents, took the afternoon to pass, finally they were nice and helpful. The immigration also visited our house and I had to take a day off to be present, they were nice too. A friend of mine was there too and I learn that when you invite a foreigner in your house you have to bring a copy of his passport at the immigration.

There is one month to get the result of my extension of stay application.
