Min of Science and BAAC join hands to attract young entrepreneurs to farming sector

BANGKOK: -- The government has tapped the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) to enact a plan to use Start Ups to attract younger citizens towards the farming sector so that they may introduce Thailand 4.0 type innovations to farming.

Minister of Science and Technology Pichet Durongkaveroj explained that the government is throwing its support behind Start Ups that involve creative young entrepreneurs, seeing them as a way to remedy long standing issues faced by the country’s businesses and Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).

One issue the government hopes to address by supporting Start Ups is the shortage of workers in the farming sector. By attracting younger businesspeople towards the segment, it is hoped they will bring technological advancements and innovations that will increase production and add value to farmed goods.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has initiated cooperation with BAAC to disseminate the findings of research into organic fertilizers and farming machinery, aiming to create Thailand 4.0 farms. The two organizations are currently collecting needed data for the effort.

These people have their heads stuck where the big supermoon didn't shine. This has been going on for a  very long time in Surin with government agencies. These groups are  all ready doing this. Your a day late and a bath short.
