Been thinking about it for a while, really should make a will. Can someone recommend a decent English lawer in Bangkok

If you are asking for a decent English speaking lawyer perhaps providing your legal needs might be helpful (do not have to go into detail but type of lawyer needed).

Sunbelt can draw up most any type of document you need....professional but a little pricey.   They have lawyers who speak English and Thai and a variety of other languages so communications with them should not be an issue.  The wife and I used them years back when first getting to Thailand to draw up wills (in English and Thai) and assistance in getting a usufruct on the chanote for our Bangkok land/house.

If for Thailand suspect most Thai lawyers could do that with little need for English.  If you need for another country then suspect you should consult your Embassy for recommendations.
