Had Workpermit But Quit Job

Featured Replies

Hi, just joined and read through this forum, thanks for all the good advice. I have a question and could not find an answer so far. I'm 46 years old, from Germany, and had a workpermit but quit my job on the 15th Nov. The former employer had my workpermit cancelled. My Non Immigrant B Visa (single entry) is valid until 24th Dec.

I'm not sure if I have a new job until then, is it possible to extend my visa?

thanks, kradet

Based on the information you have given you do not seem to qualify for any type of extension of permission to stay. This means that you have to travel abroad to get a new visa from a Thai consulate.

Thanks for your answer. I am somewhat confused as to what visa I can get then because I had tourist visas before my Non immigrant b visa. Can I get a 90 days tourist visa again? Before my Non immigrant b visa I spent more than 90 days in Thailand on tourist visa.

You should be able to obtain a tourist visa if you do not find employment that allows another non immigrant B visa by then.
