November 24, 20169 yr Have been asked by a friend who plays cardgames for fun with his colleagues, if playing cards of any kind, NO MONEY or gambling involved is still a problem? They want to meet weekly in different restaurants with gardens or on the lake to have a fun-afternoon. Does anybody have reliable information on this situation? Thank you kindly. MS>
November 24, 20169 yr If you aren't playing for money but want the fun and excitement, try strip poker. A few ladies may be required, or not, depending on your tastes.
November 24, 20169 yr It's not just gambling for money that is against the law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playing_Cards_Act http://www.thailawforum.com/laws/Playing cards.pdf
November 24, 20169 yr The OP evidently never saw the farcical Pattaya Bridge Club story earlier in the year: http://pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/221299/confusion-and-anger-at-pattaya-bridge-club-raid/ You couldn't make it up, but sadly these things do seem to happen in the Magic Kingdom.
November 24, 20169 yr Author Thank you all kindly. Yes, I am certainly aware of the bridge-comedy. And thanks for the quote of the proper laws. Fully agreed, no card games whatever for my friends :-).......Good night. MS>
