Royal Passenger Liner Co. - company from??

Featured Replies

Thrilled to hear about the passenger ferry service starting up between Pattaya & Hua Hin, Jan. 1st. I wanted to know where this company is based from but cannot find any information. Is Royal Passenger Liner a local company or from another country? I tried research on Google but found nothing. I am hoping for a well-run professional outfit to manage this ferry service - not a small ma & pa outfit.

Not sure and cant seem to find website.

Maybe owned by another company and Royal Passenger Liner Co is a trading name??

Dunno, but if anyone finds any contact details for them would be appreciated if you could post in this thread.

Thanks

AFAIK this plan was initiated 1 or 2 years ago by some government departments.

Then the discussion came up why it would succeed this time after at least 2 failures in the recent past.

You can bet your bottom baht that there is an army/navy collaboration involved with this company....

Cost?  Length of travel time?

There's another thread which gave the ticket price as 1,200 Baht/person one-way, 1.5 hours duration over a distance of just under 100 km.

First sailing is 1 Jan 17, with 1 ship.

I bet my bottom dollar that this won't happen.  With just over a month until 1 Jan, there has been no photo of the actual boat, just stock photos.  There is a dearth of information about the company.  With just 1 vessel - what happens if there is a mechanical issue?  And I'll eat my hat if the travel time is 1.5 hours.

I reckon it's Thai vapourware.
