What exactly is a Thai pink ID card?
We had somewhat of a similar issue. Firstly the Amphur officer (lady) told my Wife that my Visa didn't exists, so the couldn't carry out the process (that was comical - I was over seas), wife pushed and was flippantly given a date 2 months away... We turned up on the date - all documents and witness... the Amphur Officer really didnt have a leg to stand on... and went through the process. A lot of work for her - at least an hour and a half of document shuffling, sighing stamping, checks etc... a paperwork headache for her. She was actually every polite once she'd accepted that she was going to have to do the work, but I understand the reluctance and attempt to fob us off... I saw that it was a fair bit of paper work for them when instead they could be doing something else (on their phone etc)... So... bkknikio - Push.. turn up.. push again... Ask for a supervisor, push for a fixed appointment. All they are doing now is playing the game of kicking the can down the road because its work for them, thats all... -
