non-o visa for 1 year, right ?

Non-O , multi-entry, 1 year from Savannakhet only with no proof of financials.

Non-O, single-entry, from Vientiane with no proof of financials.

what docs i need with my self for Vientiane ? coz i want single-entry

I assume you are aware that a single entry Non O visa only entitles you to a single 90-day entry. It is not a one-year visa.

If you are willing to do border hops every 90 days, you can get a multiple entry Non O. Otherwise, you need to get a single entry Non O and apply for an extension of stay.

There is no marriage visa. The only one year visa is a multiple entry non-o visa that allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year.

You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from a non-o visa. You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. My list of required documents is here. Marriage Extension Requirements.pdf

You apply for the extension of stay at the designated immigration office for where you are living here in the country.

You will apply for the extension at the office near the airport in Chiang Mai.

No problem to use the 40k baht income option. You will need a income letter from your embassy to prove your income.

Ubonjoe is correct sergy 2,000 bht plus paperwork always better to take wife with you if possible, non o single entry lasts for 90 days after 60 days back in Thailand you can apply at your local immigration office for marriage visa this time you will need to show finances stamped by the bank on the day you apply if you have a pension from another country you will need affidavit from your embassy, retirement visa is a better soloution.

There are men outside the embassy in Vientiane whom will fill in the form for you copy all your docs for about 100/200 thb you do not need to use them but they know what is required and it saves a lot of time, they will also offer to process for you for 5,000 thb inc the 2,000 for non o visa I advise against this option as it is a waste of money let them fill in the form copy relevant docs and then join the q inside embassy grounds

thai control without questions, lao same, bridge bus ok, many tourists inside, after taxi tricks - some taxi man said cmon thai embassy 200 bath :) and when we sit in car, he told from person lol ) and its like open car - pickup, we change in on normal taxi for 400 bath, seems like its anyway too expensive ;(

big traffic jam, taxi man trying to go different small roads, but i saw some tourist who sit in big van and they come on same time :D

i pass all who want to help with docs, coz i have averything like ready - very big thanks to ubonjoe, dont have some questions to me in window and it take 1 min only, but before stay in queue about 1 hour ;( too much people, looks like if i come for example 10.30 dont have people and can make it more easy, at the morning, just unreal people, all use "paper assistants" , and who dont use stay near window like 10-15-20-25 min, why for me it take so short i dont know, rly 1 min ) have to type of windows, for group/tour and just for single person like me

taxi there expensive, 400 bath per texi from bride to embassy

after we walk about 30 min to hotel from embassy - but dont see, cant find, on google map almost there damn ) after take took took for 50k kip, and he drive to embassy again from where we start :D and after speak with another took tooker mans and only after he understand where need to go, actuallity he make price like 40k and after told to us dont have change, yes ofc , was tired already and dont fight back

i take new hotel by agoda, sky city hotel 1800 bath, they still not finish it, 1.8k bath, have slipper and breakfast ;D not bad )

You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at an immigration office during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from the non-o visa.

My list of required documents and etc are here. Marriage Extension Requirements.pdf

You shouldn't have admitted to working in Thailand. Even "freelancing" is illegal without permission.

You have little choice but to pay the 20K. You could report the extortion, but you open yourself up to prosecution for illegal working.

If you stay more than 180days/year in Thailand, you are working in Thailand no matter what you do and whatever income you have. You need permit and start paying taxes to remain legally in the country.

No you're not! You are considered resident for tax purposes. Whether you work or not is irrelevant.

You need permission to work (work permit) regardless of how long you've been continuously in the country if you want to legally work.
