DSI to report to Justice Minister today on its second arrest plan of Phra Dhammachayo

BANGKOK: -- Justice Minister says the director-general of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will report to him today on the latest plan to arrest the abbot of Dhammakaya temple.

Gen Phaiboon Khumchaya said the latest plan came after he has earlier advised the DSI to revise the plan when its first attempt to arrest Phra Dhammachayo failed after it encountered human wall forms by several thousands of the abbot’s followers to obstruct the arrest attempt.

He said the DSI chief and his team would report to him on their revised plan.

Gen Phaiboon said in his advice to the DSI, he asked the DSI what it shall do if the second attempt meets with the so-called human wall again.

He urged that no violent reaction be used if there is a resistance as this could spark off untoward and uncontrollable incident.

Gen Phaiboon also said he advised the DSI to talk to the Royal Thai Police, the Office of the Attorney-General, and negotiate with the temple.

He affirmed that the arrest must be enforced reasoning it could set precedent for others if no arrest is made.

Does it start off with "Pretty Please Come With Us"

Sir, this is our plan: We plan to arrest him, ...somehow"

This is beyond farcical.

It proves what a total and utter joke 'law and order' are in Thailand.

In other words: there is no reliable enforcement of genuine law and order here at all.

And the Thai 'authorities' and bigwigs constantly worry about 'loss of face'?

What complete fools - who cannot even see that their face has been so totally lost and dropped so far off all civilised radar as now to be circling Uranus!

Indecision is the key to flexibility.

Use the old carrot approach put a plain clothes person out in front waving a couple 1,000 baht bills..

OK we got a plan !! No way will it work, but we have a plan :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

Plan "B", please report to DSI offices by next Tuesday, please

regards worgeordie

Anyone want to wager a beer that laughing boy will somehow still be free when the statute of limitations expires in ten years time?

What happens after plan 'Z'  ?

Then they switch to the Thai alphabet with its 44 consonants and 32 vowels (or whatever), which should give them plenty of time to play their favorite game: POLICE - Prevarication, Obfuscation, Lying, Indecision, Corruption and Ennui.

Someone needs to tell Khumchaya that precedent was set a long, long time ago !!!

When it comes to "precedent", the Royal Thai Police and Office of the Attorney are the past masters of failed arrests.

"Negotiate with the temple". that says it all. Who is in charge in Thailand, the temples or the police?

The farce continues!

I have a cunning plan....

It just goes on and on and on and on and on.........
