It is so sad that this pilot could have landed at an airport that was

enroute, but did not make that decision, instead flew the long

route to where he did not have at least 30 minutes to delay his

landing.  In Canada and most ICAO countries, this is an IFR  rule

so the pilot and even the company involved, did not follow the

rules.
