Remembering last time we went to Vientiane for TR Visa, i saw that  left hand at the Entry of said Embassy is a Mailbox , and at the Billboard is  something written explaining that the application could be dropped in there at night time for processing and picked up next day.

 

Any suggestions and experiences with that?

 

 

I've never heard of anyone using that "mailbox" and I suggest no one ever does!

 

I believe that they require the application is made in person.

Recently been in Vientiane again for the currently free TR Visa.

The announce regarding the FAST TRACK option is still at the billboard, though a little bit old  but still visible, dated back June 2015.

So far its explained there is this Option availabe for TR and Transit visa and one could drop the application and get the  Passport back with the new  Visa next day.

So, what im really wondering is if there are people using this option recently????

One would assume that if its not in effect anymore they would have removed the announce ??

I was there on Monday, I didn't notice this but there again I wasn't looking for it

 

At Vientianne you apply on morning one and pick up on afternoon 2, I doubt they would do anything different than this, if you drop it in the mailbox at night time they won't see it until the morning and I doubt they will process it the same day for collection in the afternoon as this would essentially be a same day service

Should have taken a picture...100% SURE its announced there but who knows if it was enforced short time after release and then stopped ...and never taken out of the billboard because of neglicence....
