Cam Khao
I need to get some shoe heels repaired, and I am sure I have seen a cobbler on the side of the road somewhere in Surin. Can anyone jog my memory on where that might have been? Cheers. Edited December 14, 2016 by KhunBENQ added "shoe repair" to title
malt25
Cam, can I suggest you change the heading of your post ? My guess is that most younger members wouldn't relate cobbler to shoe repair. Only us old farts would know what you are referring to. Cobbler ..... a fruit pie with a thick upper crust and no bottom crust that is baked in a deep dish. I passed over your post several times before taking a look. I originally thought you were looking for a bakery or cake shop. Hope this helps. KhunBENQ
The OP can not edit the title. I have done that. Hope it is acceptable and helps to attract attention?

KhunBENQ
But no one has an idea... In Khon Kaen they sit in front of the main post office. No idea about Surin. To the OP: have you checked the major malls for a stall?
croftrobin
There is a shoe repair shop a few doors along from Promcom in the street where they hold the night market (he works daytime) Here is the google street view, the cobbler looks to have been shut when they took the photos URL is: https www.google.co.uk/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x3119e3b5fecdfd35:0x9524af7c345e68cb!2m19!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m13!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!3m1!7e115!4s/maps/place/surin%2Bprocomm/@14.8864216,103.4921222,3a,75y,217.13h,90t/data%3D*213m4*211e1*213m2*211sKXCAil8I-IZIP2rLgkMLIg*212e0*214m2*213m1*211s0x0:0x9524af7c345e68cb!5ssurin+procomm+-+Google+Search&imagekey=!1e2!2sKXCAil8I-IZIP2rLgkMLIg&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj-hsDT6ojRAhUWdVAKHf61DYwQpx8IajAK Edited December 22, 2016 by croftrobin
Cam Khao
Thanks guys, I didn't consider that cobbler wasn't really a mainstream word anymore. Ahh, the loss of language, so sad. I'll try and find that guy croftrobin, thanks. I only need a cheap and nasty repair of the heels until I get to the UK in a couple of months and have them redone properly as I doubt that the chap will be able to re-layer the leather where it has worn down, he'll probably just use rubber/plastic. I should have just stopped wearing the damn things when they wore past the rubber protector but they are just so comfy!
