A question about visas

Recommended Posts

I was living here in Thailand for some time now, but my fifth tourist visa was denied yesterday at the Savannakhet Thai Embassy. Is it true that I can re-enter Thailand for 15 more days to get my student visa? Or will I be overstaying? Thank you.

You can get a 15 day visa exempt entry if you are from a country that qualifies for one. If from a G7 country you would get 30 days. Either can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office.

You can only overstay if you are already in the country.

Does Russia qualify?

You will get a 30 day entry from a bilateral agreement between Russia and Thailand. But you will; not be able to get the 30 day extension of it.

So I can get 30 day entry if I go through the Laos-Thailand border? Or can it only happen by plane?
