overherebc
Is there a good breakers yard anywhere near Patts or is BKK the only option?
KhunBENQ
No response. Let's try this in the Pattaya forum. Moved. I am almost 6 years in Thailand and can not remember having seen what we would call a regular motor/car scrap yard/breakers yard.
johng
I've seen a car breakers on the #36 road quite near to the north pattaya overpass its got a cut in half pickup truck outside on the side of the road. For bike parts a lot of the little one man repair shops often have a graveyard or stripped parts "out back"
SidJames
I'm also sure that there's one on the 36. Come off the 7 & drive up past Regents, Dept of Transport & then take the 1st uturn which is about a click up. Now keep an eye out as you drive back down the 36 & it's on your left a hundred yards. If you've hit the Bee Farm then you've pasted it by
jay1980
There is a place that sells half cuts, engines and used parts here: https://www.google.co.th/maps/@12.9722202,100.9118152,3a,75y,293.04h,80.77t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sFQyVKKYS9hDW1cVZ9I5_-w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 A Thai friend bought and had fitted a second hand automatic gearbox for their Honda city here. For a much bigger selection of simular places in BKK try here: https://www.google.co.th/maps/place/Soi+Chiang+Kong+Bang+Na+5,+Tambon+Bang+Phli+Yai,+Amphoe+Bang+Phli,+Chang+Wat+Samut+Prakan+10540/@13.6302901,100.7033365,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x311d5e815e0e11e1:0x9153b23abee24581!8m2!3d13.6302901!4d100.7055252 hope that helps

When I search the net I see specialists for turbo chargers, complete motors, seats etc.pp. But indeed the bigger ones all in the Bangkok area. eefoo
Head North on Sukhumwit past the Na Klua T junction. Just past the next set of lights on the left (if memory serves correct) is a breakers yard on the side of the road that also sells copy new parts for common models. Had success there in the past finding bits for my D-Max.
johng
Today I spotted 2 small breakers yards on the southbound carriageway of the roads that run parallel to the railway tracks both towards the north pattaya end. Had wrecks parked on the side of the road as reference point.
