PM again leads exercise for the third week

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday continued physical exercise at Government House for the third week with cabinet ministers and government officials.

But this time not only aerobic exercise, volleyball and sepak takraw, he turned to badminton.

The exercise that he initiated three weeks ago normally begins at 3.00 pm on every Wednesday when civil servants put off their regular duties and join the outdoor activities.

And ‘Uncle Tu’ – a name that the public fondly calls PM Gen. Prayut Chan-Ocha will  lead the exercises.

But he was late at the exercise yesterday.

After completing his lightning visit to the Royal Thai Police headquarters Gen Prayut arrived at Government House at 3.10 pm.

Although he was 10 minute late ‘Uncle Tu’ surprised everyone by leaving his car and heading straight to the lawn still wearing the traditional silk formal civil servant attire and proceeded to perform warm-up exercises followed by aerobics.

There is a lovely sky line cycling track around Suvarnabhumi airport, it is credit to the organisation that runs it, and certainly worth a trip around the 25k track if you enjoy trouble free cycling.

Perhaps the PM might one day join a few of the regular visitors for a lap or two.

How much exercise does Uncle Tu do when the cameras are not there????

I think not a lot, just another photo opportunity.

Propaganda at its best !

"After completing his lightning visit to the Royal Thai Police headquarters"

Ample time to sort out all their shortcomings.

The mans a machine!  I hope its not like at my gym where exercise means getting on a running machine and walking at 2km an hour for 15 minutes before going home to eat 2000 calories of deep fried prawns.

Love that track - wish there were more around Bangkok. A few odd smells on the way around - lovely for Bkk but I miss my home country cycling tracks.

Where's the deputy? Or did he drink too much Yakult?

Faster than a speeding bullet, leap tall buildings in a single bound, more powerful than a locomotive.

He's doing the "Chicken Dance". How cute.

"...But this time not only aerobic exercise, volleyball and sepak takraw, he turned to badminton..."

So, with the looming Cabinet reshuffle also demanding his time and attention, I guess you could say this makes him the chief shuttle-cock !!!
