I recently discovered a couple of decent phone apps which might be of use to longstayers

Tunein Radio which allows streaming of radio stations from all over the world.

FilmOn Live which allows streaming of tv stations from all over the world including BBC.

Map of Thailand Offline which is exactly what it sounds like.  

These are all free apps.  Any others that people use?

After being here in Thailand for a couple of months I'm finding it's just the little things I miss more (ie decent radio).

There is a new one out that replaces the bidet. A mechanical hand and a puff of powder pull up your drawers and your good to go. What is an Apps sounds like something I surely cannot live without. I think all these Apps only APPly body fat to our extremities. I will be glad when I can control my TV through mind control. I hate to be constantly pushing those stupid buttons.

Great minds or Perv's :) Count me in !

XE currency converter is one of the most essential apps you will need while generally travelling or doing visa runs etc. 

"Around Me" is another useful one for finding ATMs , banks , bars, cafes , hospitals etc  in your general area .
